South Africa’s cricket legend and fielding maestro, Jonty Rhodes, has recently embarked on a unique adventure across Sri Lanka, exploring the island nation in a tuk-tuk.

The former cricketer shared his enriching travel experience on Instagram, highlighting his love for the country’s vibrant culture, sustainable tourism initiatives, and breathtaking surf spots.

“When you travel through a country, you want to be as close to the local population as possible, in order to benefit the local communities and the environment,” Jonty shared.

The Rhodes family used the three-wheeler journey to various surf breaks in Ahangama, a popular surfing destination on the southern coast.

“It is great to see the many positive impacts that the tourism industry is once again having on the economy,” Jonty remarked, expressing his gratitude for Sri Lanka’s resilience and hospitality.
