THE DAILY MAIL

Eoin Morgan has been forced to rearrange his wedding later this year after changes were made to the itinerary for the tour of Sri Lanka.

England’s one-day captain was due to marry Australian fiancée Tara Ridgway in October but an alteration to the scheduling of the first of next winter’s overseas assignments has led to a postponement.

England travel to Colombo on September 30 and were set to begin with the Test series, with the limited-overs section of the tour following in November.

However, Sri Lanka Cricket have since flipped the fixtures.

The 31-year-old is understood to have committed to the tour, intent on continuing the 50-over team’s momentum towards the 2019 World Cup.

England’s Test captain Joe Root is also to wed partner Carrie Cotterell next winter but the date does not conflict with either the tour to Sri Lanka or the one to the Caribbean in early 2019.
