In addition to the multicolored light bulbs and lanterns that lit up every street and corner of Sri Lanka a variety of pandals were also displayed for the public in various part of the country. In yet another innovative Vesak creation brought to life by Rainco Umbrellas, this year saw the Company create a thorana of one of the oldest known Buddhist symbols - the Dharmachakra - solely out of their own umbrellas. The unique ‘Kuda Thorana’ was a concept developed by Triad (Pvt) Ltd. and was on display at the Vesak Kalapaya at the BRC Grounds in Colombo 05 throughout the Vesak weekend.
