Deadly mist in the hills...

October 18, 2014

Low visibility caused by dense fog and mist which have engulfed the Western slopes in the central mountain region, has led to the disruption of traffic along several main roads. Hatton to Thalawakele on the Nuwara Eliya-Hatton main road, Kithulgala to Hatton on the Hatton-Colombo road and Ginigathhena to Norton Bridge on the Ginigathhena-Maskeliya road are among the areas affected by the situation. Motorists using these roads have been urged to remain cautious. (Pic by Ranjith Rajapaksa )
