Jaffna Kite Festival…

The annual kite festival in Jaffna, which takes place concurrent with Thai Pongal festival every January, was held in on Valvettithurai beach yesterday (15).
The event jointly organized by the Jaffna District Secretariat and the Northern Province Ministry of Education, Cultural Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs.
Massive, multi-colored kites, made by imaginative youths, filled up the Jaffna sky mesmerizing the spectators.
