Postal workers to launch 48-hour token strike

The co-convener of the United Postal Trade Unions’ Front, Chinthaka Bandara says that they have decided to engage in a 48-hour token strike tomorrow (08) and the day after (09).

Speaking at a press conference, he stated that the token strike would commence from 4.00 p.m. today (07) at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo.

However, this trade union action would be commenced across all other post offices from midnight today.

He further emphasised that they have launched this trade union action based on three demands.
