President calls for urgent talks to resolve IGP issue

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has stated that discussions must be held within this week between the Speaker of the Parliament and the Chief Justice to address and resolve issues surrounding the post of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Furthermore, the Head of the State expressed that he will ensure that Election Commission will hold Presidential Poll on September 21.
