Grade 5 Scholarship Exam at 2,849 centres today

The Grade 05 Scholarship Examination is scheduled to commence at 9.30 a.m. today (15) at exam centers across the island.

The Department of Examination stated that a total of 323,879 applicants are expected to sit for the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam this year.

The Commissioner General of Examinations, Amit Jayasundara, says that the examination is to be held at 2,849 centres across the island and that all necessary arrangements have been made for this.

The Commissioner General also emphasized that all the students sitting for the Grade 05 Scholarship exam should arrive and be seated at their respective examination halls by 9.00 a.m. this morning.

Meanwhile, the Police Spokesman, DIG Nihal Thalduwa, has stated that no one has been authorized to use loudspeakers during the scholarship examination period.

Mental health expert and Consultant Psychiatrist Dr. Rumi Ruben stated that more attention should be paid to the mental well-being of children both before and after the scholarship exam.
