Shop owner killed in shooting at Kohuwala

One person has been killed in a shooting incident inside a shop at Saranankara Road in Kohuwala police area.
The victim, a 43-year-old resident of Nedimala in Dehiwala, had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital.
The shooting had taken place last night (18) while the victim is said to be the owner of the shop in question.
The shooting was reportedly carried out by two unidentified gunmen who had arrived on a motorcycle.
The motive behind the shooting or any information regarding the suspects are yet to be uncovered.
The body has been placed at the mortuary of the Kalubowila Hospital for the magistrate’s inquiry.
Kohuwala Police are conducting further investigations into the murder.
