Three killed in house fire in Chilaw

Three members of the same family including a teenager were reportedly killed in a house fire in the Sinhapura area of Chilaw. 

The victims, a mother, father, and their daughter died in the fire, which broke out last night (19), according to the Chilaw Police.

Police reported that the bodies were discovered during a search following information they received regarding a house fire. The deceased have been identified as a 42-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman, and a 15-year-old girl.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and Chilaw Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
