The National People’s Power (NPP) has emerged victorious in the Moratuwa and Colombo-Central polling divisions in the Colombo District and Gampola, Nawalapitiya and Udunuwara polling divisions in Kandy District. 

Moratuwa polling division in Colombo District:
 
National People’s Power (NPP) – 56,550
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 14,395
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 4,324
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 2,707

Colombo-Central polling division in Colombo District:

National People’s Power (NPP) – 39,160
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 27,347
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 3,612

Gampola polling division in Kandy District:
