Eight Bangladeshis arrested without valid visas

Eight foreign nationals who were residing in the country without valid visas in violation of immigration and emigration regulations have been arrested in the Andiambalama area of Katunayake.

Police stated that the suspects were arrested during a raid carried out by the Katunayake Police after receiving a tip-off that a group of foreigners was residing at a tourist hotel in the Andiambalam area without valid visas.

The group includes eight Bangladeshi nationals aged between 20 and 30 years, according to police.

Katunayake police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
