British woman dead, German couple hospitalized after falling ill at Colombo hostel

Three foreign nationals staying in a hostel at R.A. de Mel Mawatha in Kollupitiya have fallen ill and were admitted to hospital, the police said.

However, the 24-year-old English female who was among them, has been reported dead while the other two - a German couple - are receiving treatment in hospital, according to the police.
