Immigration Controller General pleads guilty to contempt of court charge

The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration, Harsha Illukpitiya, who is accused of being in contempt of court after failing to enforce a court order related to the e-visa issuance process, has pleaded guilty before the Supreme Court.

Accordingly, the court announced that sentencing in the case will take place on July 24.
