The Colombo High Court accepted video evidence in the case against Sarath Fonseka regarding the White Flag statement today despite objections raised by the defence.

The video which depicted Sarath Fonseka’s speech at a rally in Ratnapura during the Presidential elections was accepted as evidence by High Court Judge Deepali Wijeysundara while further examination of the evidence will take place at the next hearing on January 6, 2011. Defence Attorney Nalin Ladduwahetty raised objections that without the raw footage the evidence should not be taken into consideration, however these objections were rejected.
