‘Galu Kumari’ train derails near Ginthota station

A train has reportedly derailed near the Ginthota railway station, disrupting train services on the Coastal Railway Line. 

The ‘Galu Kumari’ express train (No 8056) plying from Maradana to Beliatta has derailed in this manner, also causing damage to the railway track. 

It is reported that train operations on the Coastal Line have been restricted to the Ambalangoda railway station owing to the derailment.
