Sri Lankan designer Chathuri Samaraweera, Founder and Artistic Director of the “ANAYA” Collection, has made history as the first Sri Lankan to present a collection at the Paris Fashion Week 2025.

Samaraweera unveiled her Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear collection, “Balearic Dreaming,” at an official sideline event held at the Hotel Le Marois in Paris, attended by over 100 fashion industry professionals and partners.

Inspired by the serene beauty of the Balearic Islands, the collection features soft blues, rose-golds, and vibrant aquatic tones, showcasing Samaraweera’s signature elegance and refined aesthetic.

The event marked a landmark moment for Sri Lanka in international fashion, celebrating a designer whose creativity and vision have taken her to the global stage.

In a Facebook post, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in France hailed her achievement as a proud moment for the Sri Lankan fashion industry, adding:

“Chathuri’s journey from Sri Lanka to the global stage is a testament to her vision, creativity, and dedication.”
