06 infants and mothers evacuated from Chilaw to Puttalam by SLAF helicopter

Six infants and their mothers, who were receiving treatment at Chilaw Base Hospital, were relocated to Puttalam Base Hospital yesterday (30) due to flooding at the hospital caused by adverse weather conditions affecting the island.

The evacuation was conducted using a Bell-412 helicopter belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) No. 4 Squadron, Ratmalana.
