Five dead after consuming suspected illicit liquor in Waikkala

A total of five individuals have reportedly died in Waikkala, Wennappuwa, following the suspected consumption of illicit liquor.

According to police, three bodies were recovered inside a residence, while two other individuals, who were in critical condition, passed away after being admitted to Wennappuwa Hospital.

Marawila Police are conducting further investigation into the incident.
