Sri Lanka cricket great Muttiah Muralitharan says he is considering a chance to coach young spinners in Australia, Canadian Press reports.

Muralitharan, who will play his last matches for Sri Lanka during the World Cup starting next week, says on Wednesday he is finalizing dates.

He did not give further details, but Australian media report the world record-holder for wickets in tests and one-day internationals has been invited by the Brisbane Centre of Excellence to be a guest coach in June.

Muralitharan’s relations with Australia have been rocky since early in his career when he was called for an illegal bowling action during a test in 1995 in Melbourne, Associated Canadian Press reports.
