Body found in canal in Matugama

A body has been discovered in a canal at the Delgas Junction along the Matugama– Agalawatta road, police said.
The deceased has been identified as a 41-year-old resident of Ittapane.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, police said.
The body has been placed at the morgue of Nagoda Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Matugama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
