Shortage of Paracetamol hits govt. hospitals

There is a shortage of Paracetamol in government hospitals and in the market as the quality standards on stocks brought into the country in the past few days had expired and were rejected, the Health Ministry stated.

 

Due to the delays in bringing new stocks of Paracetemol into the market a shortage has risen in the country while the government is taking measures to produce the necessary drugs through the State Drug Manufacturing Corporation. Around 1.5 million tablets of Paracetamol a day.
