HC orders transcripts of second Court Martial proceedings

The Colombo High Court today (March 9) ordered the Army Commander to hand over the complete transcripts of the proceedings at the second Court Martial concerning the Hicorp case against Sarath Fonseka.
The order was given after the defence challenged that the High Court cannot legally charge Fonseka with the same crimes he has already been convicted of in the second Court Martial hearings. The High Courts will take the requested proceedings into account at the hearing scheduled for March 29.
