Pharmacies suspended from selling syrup

The Health Ministry stated that the Cosmetic Devices and Drug Regulatory Authority has suspended all private pharmacies from selling the syrup Apetamin-P with immediate effect after an insect was found in one bottle sold at a private pharmacy in Mahawa.

 

The Health Ministry stated that Apetamin-P is an appetite enhancing syrup produced in India while tests are being conducted on the syrup following the incident.
