Local government polls for the Pudukuduirippu Pradeshiya Sabha and the Maritimepattu Pradeshiya Sabha will not be held on October 8, the Government Information Department stated.
However, when Ada Derana contacted the Deputy Elections Commissioner, M.M. Mohammed, he stated that the final decision regarding the polls for these two Pradeshiya Sabha will be made tomorrow following a meeting with the party general secretaries.
