President presents Budget 2012

President Mahinda Rajapaksa began presenting the budget 2012 proposal at Parliament a short while ago. Presenting the budget proposal he added that he took the reins in 2005 with one goal in mind, which was to eradicate terrorism.

This budget for the year 2012 is the 34th budget of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the third budget of the seventh Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
