Proposal to appoint Opposition Leader and UNP Leader

A proposal will be brought forward concerning the appointments for the posts of Opposition Leader and Party Leader separately, UNP MP Lakshman Kiriella stated.

 

He said that the UNP party members were asking for party unity and not to remove or ostracize anyone within the party.

 

Meanwhile, speaking at the same press conference today (December 13) Deputy Leader, Karu Jayasuriya stated that the UNP’s objective was to strengthen the opposition in the country and look to the public’s needs.
