Somawansa ordered to be present at court

The Colombo District Court ordered JVP Leader Somawansa Amarasinghe along with a group of others present themselves in court today (December 30) in order to provide answers regarding the JVP convention to be held in Tissamaharama.

 

The complaint had been made by the group Jana Aragalaya represented by MP Ajith Kumara and G. Kularatne who stated that the holding the convention was against the law further stating that some of the members of the Central Working Committee including themselves were not invited.

 

Upon considering the complaint the Colombo District Court called upon a group including Somawansa Amarasinghe to present themselves in court.
