SL Navy arrests 43 Indian Fishermen

The Sri Lanka Navy seized six Indian fishing boats and arrested 43 fishermen who were illegally fishing just North of Palmudai last night (January 24), Navy Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya stated.

 

The arrested fishermen and the boats were taken to the Trincomalee harbour while the Spokesman stated that they will be handed over to the Police after initial investigations are conducted.
