Solution to national issue shouldn’t be delayed: UNP

February 7, 2012   03:46 pm

The United National Party today said that finding a solution to the national problem should not be delayed under any circumstance.

UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake called on the government to take necessary measures to implement the recommendation of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC), if discussions with the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) fail.

He said at a press conference today (Feb. 07) that the people have almost lost faith on the government regarding the national issue matter.
