Akuressa PS Opposition Leader arrested

The Opposition Leader of the Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha has been arrested by police for a traffic offence.

Police media spokesman SP Ajith Rohana stated that the 23-year-old PS member had met with an accident on March 22, while traveling on his motorbike, and that a woman was injured from the incident.

It has been reported that the woman’s current condition is critical.

The Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha opposition leader is to be produced before the Matara Court while Akuressa Police are conducting further investigations.
