VIDEO: Traffic jam near Town Hall due to protest by Muslims

Heavy traffic congestion has been reported near Town Hall in Colombo due to a protest by Muslims against the relocation of a mosque in the sacred Buddhist city of Dambulla. The protest is being held in front of the Dewatagaha Mosque, Ada Derana reporter said.

Motorists are requested to use alternate routes since Sangaraja Mawatha is blocked due to the protest in Town Hall, police spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said.

The full day Hartal and protest was organized to be carried out from Dewatagaha Mosque after Jummah Prayers today (27).
