Mangala Samarakoon qualifies for London Olympics

Rifle shooter Mangala Samarakoon of the Sri Lanka Army has qualified for the men’s Rifle Shooting event at the 2012 London Olympic, the Sri Lanka National Olympic Committee said today.

SASC (South Asian Shooting Competition) Gold medalist Mangala Samarakoon of Army Small Arms Association struck ‘Gold’ at the 2006 South Asian Games in the fifty metre prone shooting event with a record score and narrowly missed a medal at the 16th Asian Games in 2010.
