Advanced Level students who have already been transferred will not be affected by the circular which restricts any further transfers of A/L students between government schools, acting Media Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena stated.
All national schools are being informed about the circular at the moment, the acting Minister stated while adding that Ordinary Level students who have already received their leaving certificates and applied to alternate national schools will not be affected by the circular.
However, the circular will be implemented fully in the future, he claimed.
The Minister of Education, Bandula Gunawardena stated earlier that student transfers among National schools for Advanced Level classes will be prevented by the Education Ministry through a circular.
