Showers or thundershowers with south westerly winds will occur over Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara districts, the Department of Meteorology said today.

Strong showers may develop in certain areas while other parts of the island may experience showers or thundershowers during the afternoon or evening, according to the Met. Department.

It also requested the public to stay vigilant to avoid accidents involving lightning and strong winds.
