VIDEO: Sarana Gunawardena among 16 suspects released on bail

Deputy Minister of Petroleum Resources, Sarana Gunawardena and 15 others were released on bail by the Attanagalla Magistrate Court today (July 18) after the group had been accused of causing damages to a private property.

 

The group including the Deputy Minister were released on a personal bail of Rs.100,000 each after they were informed by police to be present at court to answer the allegations against them.

 

The Police Spokesman stated that the suspects were ordered to appear before the court on July 28 when the case is taken up again.

 

The suspects were accused of entering a housing scheme in Horagolla initiated by a private company and causing damages to the construction site.
