‘Substandard’ committee to look into ‘substandard’ diesel - Gemunu

August 2, 2012   04:54 pm

President of the Lanka Private Bus Operators Association (LPBOA), Gemunu Wijerathne stated that he is not satisfied with the committee created to look into the substandard diesel issue.

An independent committee for inspection should be created, he stated.

Gemunu also said at the press conference in Colombo that investigations made by the representatives from the oil cooperation itself cannot be trusted at all.

He also mentioned that the diesel being sold now should also be of the proper standard and that it was sad that there is no proper organization to look into this issue.
