Blake to discuss implementation of LLRC report

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Robert O. Blake will meet government officials and civil society representatives to discuss the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission Action Plan during his vsit to Sri Lanka.

The senior U.S. official is visiting Sri Lanka this week to discuss how it plans to implement recommendations of the war commission, a State Department release said. 

Sri Lanka appointed the commission while under international pressure to investigate alleged abuses during the war, and the report was delivered last year.
