
Vehicle gutted in fire on Expressway

A vehicle suddenly caught fire while traveling on the Southern Expressway last night.
The vehicle traveling towards Kottawa from Galle burst into flames near the 29km Post in the Dodangoda Police Division.
Police however said no casualties or injuries were reported from the incident and that officers of the Gelanigama Police Post, STF personnel and firefighters doused the fire.
The cause for the fire is yet to be determined.
