Female anesthetist reported missing

A female anesthetist at the Matara Hospital has reportedly gone missing while returning to her home in Hikkaduwa last evening.

Erandi Kulatunga, 28, had left the hospital at around 5.30 yesterday in her car, however she had not reached her home and was reported missing by her husband, who lodged a complaint with Galle Police at 10.20pm.

The husband, an army doctor, informed police that his wife last contacted him when she was near the Galle Cement Factory, to infirm him that she would be delayed due to heavy traffic congestion on the road.

Gale Police is conducting investigations into the disappearance.
