UPDATE: UNP, Govt. members of PSC will not appear before Appeals Court

The UNP members of the Parliamentary Select Committee which looked into impeachment charges against the Chief Justice will not appear before the Appeals Court tomorrow (January 3).

UNP Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe is scheduled to make a statement later, UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake stated.

Government members of the PSC have also confirmed that they will not appear before the Appeals Court tomorrow, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva stated.

The Tamil National Alliance members of the PSC will however appear before the court, TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran confirmed.
