Two alleged rapists behind bars

Two people who have allegedly gang raped a woman at the Nugegoda Vijerama Temple Mawatha have been put behind bars.

 

The suspects were presented to the Gangodawila Majistrate’s court yesterday (25) and were ordered to be imprisoned until the 6th of February.

 

The 47 year old woman was assaulted by a group of people on the 23rd. The police arrested two people after receiving a complaint. The police media unit stated that the Mirihana police are carrying investigations to carry out two other people related to the incident.
