VIDEO: Ayurvedic Commissioner hospitalised after acid attack

The Ayurvedic Commissioner of the North Central Province Kumara Alwis has been admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital following an acid attack.

The Commissioner, Kumara Alwis suffered most of his injuries on his face due to the attack and was admitted to the Anuradhapura teaching hospital.

He is being transferred to the Colombo hospital, Director of the Anuradhapura teaching hospital Dr. W. Atapattu stated.

The Commissioner was attacked by two persons who had arrived at his official residence.
