Thirimanne hits maiden Test century

Sri Lankan batsmen Lahiru Thirimanne scored his maiden Test hundred playing against Bangladesh at Galle on Saturday.
He brought up his hundred with a lofted shot over mid-on, in 193 deliveries.
Thirimanne, who added 124 for the third wicket with Sangakkara, was unbeaten on a solid 74 when play was called off due to rain with 4.3 overs remaining yesterday.
Thirimanne notches up his ton after playing the waiting for so long on Day 2 while on the other side, Chandimal started playing aggressively.
Dinesh Chandimal notched up his fifty with the help of nine boundaries. Bangladesh got only one wicket so far in the session that of Angelo Mathews.
Kumar Sangakkara struck a century in his first Test after returning from injury yesterday.
