Heavy traffic due to protest over attacks on monks

Heavy traffic congestion reported from Kollupitiya Junction to Galle Face roundabout due to protest march heading towards Indian High Commission in Colombo.
The protest has been organized by the Sinhala Ravaya organisation against the recent attacks on Buddhist monks and Sri Lankan pilgrims in India.
A Sri Lankan monk, who was a researcher of archaeology, came under attack in Tamil Nadu’s Tanjavur last week while yesterday another monk and a group of pilgrims were attacked at the Chennai central station.
