Body of missing sailor recovered

The body of the Navy sailor, who was reported missing after a small vessel belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy capsized during the Victory Day celebrations in Galle Face, has been discovered this morning.

The body was recovered from the Bambalapitiya beach, Navy Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya said.

Two navy personnel had fallen overboard when the boat capsized during the Victory day Parade at the Galle Face Green yesterday. One of them was rescued however the other sailor was reported lost at sea.
