Exit lane on Colombo-Kandy road closed due to construction

The exit lane of the Colombo-Kandy road from the Bandaranaike roundabout to the end of the Kelani bridge will be temporarily closed from 8pm today (May 21) to 6am tomorrow (22).
The road will be closed due to construction work on the Colombo-Katunayake expressway.
As an alternate route to those traveling from Colombo to Kandy, the police have stated that the public can turn left from the Bandaranaike roundabout and travel up to Igurukade junction where they can turn right and go over the Japan Friendship Bridge until the Nawaloka roundabout. Motorists can turn right again from the Nawaloka roundabout and get on to the Kandy road from the Kelani roundabout.
