CID grills DIG Vaas Gunawardena over Dompe murder

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Vaas Gunawardena has been released after questioning by the Crminal Investigations Department, over the murder of a businessman in Dompe, sources told Ada Derana.

The CID earlier today arrested a Sub-Inspector (SI) and two Police Constables (PCs) in connection with the abduction and murder, which took place on May 22.

The victim is a 35-year-old businessman from Bambalapitiya.
