The Government of Sri Lanka should make an inquiry from the French government, in light of the statement made by Member of Parliament Arundika Fernando claiming that missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda is living in France, Ranil Wickramasinghe said.

The Opposition Leader had made these comments during a discussion held at UNP headquarters – Sirikotha today, Ada Derana reporter said.

The UPFA MP had sparked controversy when he recently declared in parliament that the veteran cartoonist was alive and well in France.

Fernando had said that, during a visit there, his friend journalist Manjula Wediwardena had shown him a man with a shaved head and said he was Prageeth Eknaligoda.
