UPDATE: Colombo Uni female student jumps off fifth floor

A female student of Colombo University has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital after jumping off the fifth floor of a university building, Police media spokesman told Ada Derana. She is currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The student who is a resident of Lunugamwehera is first year student of the Science faculty and had joined the university in May 2013, Police said. She has allegedly jumped off the building at 9.30am today. Police state that the reason behind her action has not been ascertained yet.
